I still have Enthusiast to upgrade but I’ll be screwing with it anyway. My computer is working again and didn’t lose any files except bookmarks and 600+ fonts. I had to reinstall programs which means I don’t have Adobe Photoshop at the moment because I only have an upgrade version and the old one is on the other computer. But oh well, it can wait. I’ll just play with the control panel this week.

Join form still works but apparently not the email that sends your password information. Hmmm…

The join form is fully working though not in the style I would like but I really don’t remember what that was and since my computer is still not working, the better form will just have to wait a few more days.

My cousin thought he got a hold of Windows XP Media Center but it turned out it was still XP Pro. So I decided to just install Pro instead of waiting some more and it still doesn’t work! I’m currently trying to look up the proper syntax on cmd to find system.sav on the cd that apparently didn’t install with everything else. I really have no clue what I’m doing… Wish me luck!

So my computer has been screwing with me for almost 2 weeks and I can’t access a single thing on it. I think the week before I upgraded Wordpress or Enthusiast and switched some things around which has left these MySQL errors on the Wordpress entries.

The Beatles are my favorite thing in the entire world, more than tigers and Simpsons and drawing, and John was my favorite as a child when I just enjoyed the video of Imagine and felt world peace was this beautiful thing and then as an adult when I could understand where he came from and his complexities and find more layers to his music.

And I was so, so happy to have got his fanlisting. I think I applied for 3 maybe 4 fls since and I know one of them was because no one had made it yet! But it got put on trouble and I didn’t think I needed to worry about my fls except for the rampant spam joinings so I didn’t check my email for more than a week. It was troubled on the day my computer screwed up too! Aren’t I lucky? My joined, last updated, and members list pages were all completely viewable but the join page didn’t work though it had my email available if there were any problems. But whatever. I’m not going to bitch and grip (other than right now) and try to contest it because it’s not worth and it probably won’t get me anywhere even if I try to be nice as it’s really my fault for not getting online until my Surpass hosting was due and I might as well say it’s done now instead of stressing over it for 5 days, waiting for a response when I’ve already got enough stress going on to last me another month.

So, move on, keep listing fans and try to rearrange my brainstorming of John’s fansite. I was thinking about a new layout a couple weeks ago, 3 columns instead of 2 and photos from different times of his life to sort of span out across the top. Yea, I know, it’s been 2 years since I opened the site, so when am I gonna get to the fansite part? I’m a procrastinator, I know this. I’ve also come to find out from those around me that I’m super critical in expectations. I think I worry too much about my ideal John fansite that I can’t have anything less and whenever I get started it’s not matching up. Too much brainstorming…

Anyway. If you’ve read this far, thanks. I needed to share and vent so I could realize not being listed at TFL doesn’t really matter and that I need to bloody get moving on the fansite. And hopefully, the join form will work by the end of the week after I’ve gotten my Windows XP Media Center repaired and I’ll not have lost all my files.

On previewing I see the MySQL errors on the index page are gone. Wtf? I blame you, Surpasshosting! But only because my boss told me an email bounced back on the 18th when my domain should have been working. Grrrr.

I’ve reworked the members list so everything should be counted correctly and all added info like fav Beatle and quotes are on all profiles that have them and there’s an easy way to go from one member to next in order of when they joined. In the next couple weeks I’ll be attacking the member control panel so if you need to update your member info just email me, johnlennon @ my main domain, BTN, otherwise wait a little longer
